Pioneering medicine on the Northshore since 1987
Dr. Lee Capone
Lee Capone D.V.M is not only an experienced veterinarian, but has veterinary dental specialties as well as oral surgery. Dr. Capone is proud to celebrate over 25 years of practice in Mandeville. Graduating from the third veterinary class from LSU in 1979. Dr. Capone's excitement and passion for what he does is still fresh as ever. He was the third vet practice to open in Mandeville, and though now surrounded by many more, he still strives to be on the cutting edge of his field. Dr. Capone says "The philosophy of Lakeshore Veterinary Hospital is, quality medicine, not quanity medicine". He also beleives in early prevention and detection of problems unique to each species and breed by recommedning wellness profiles which are blood tests designed to pick up trends in blood values early and before problems become serious or life-threatening. The staff is proud to say "when your pet is with you he's yours and when he's with us he's ours". The staff can often be found playing with or petting a sick or injured pet or one whose owner is away. Their attention to detail in the facility as well as the plan for catering to each pet is obvious to all who enter. Dr. Capone uses laser instead of a scalpel for most surgeries. He has invested extensively in the latest state of the art equipment. Dr. Capone and his staff continue to be focused on providing the best and most advanced care on the north shore.
